West-Auckland indie-surf band PARK RD make a splash with their latest single ‘Golden’.
The single comes off the back of a year of highs for the band. With Park Rd reaching three-quarters of a million streams on Spotify, featuring at Live Nation and Vodafone’s Ones to Watch showcase and playing to a sold-out crowd at Auckland’s Tuning Fork.
A mesh of dreamy guitar riffs and feel-good vibes, ‘Golden’ is perfectly suited for a beautiful Summer day. Making full use of the bands surf-rock sound, ‘Golden’ is another exceptionally vibey release for PARK RD.
Lead guitarist Angus Hampton-Carr explains that PARK RD is about being together, as a band and with the community around them. “We put a lot of love into our songs, and we have a lot of fun writing them as a band”, he explains. “But, the highlight for me is the being able to play shows and feel everyone there coming together and having a blast with something we created.”
Showing no plans of slowing down the band are heading full swing into an exciting Summer. With the band scheduled to play The Phoenix Summit on the 15th November, and then Rhythm and Vines over New Years, with more to be announced.
